International Cooperation
The Korea Employment Information Service benchmarks excellent systems
through international cooperation and disseminates our systems and know-how to the world.
International Cooperation
International cooperation aims to help the Korea Employment Information Service play a leading role in the global employment service sector and strengthen collaboration with the international community.
As the Vice President for the Asia-Pacific region of the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), the Korea Employment Information Service supports various meetings and association activities, including the board of directors. Additionally, by hosting Asia-Pacific region employment service seminars and regional meetings, we introduce Korea's advanced employment services and strengthen international cooperation networks. Furthermore, we support the development of employment services in developing countries by participating in policy advisory for the Cambodian and Kenyan governments through joint projects with WAPES.
We actively collaborate with international organizations. For example, we conduct employment insurance invitation training for ASEAN countries in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and register Korean Youth Panel (YP2021) data on the ILO Decent Jobs for Youth online platform. Moreover, we support visiting training for various countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East in cooperation with the World Bank (WB) and ILO.
We also publish an English newsletter (KEIS e-Letter) to disseminate the institution's research achievements and Korea's employment service trends internationally.
Through international cooperation, the Korea Employment Information Service strengthens its leadership in the employment service sector in the international community, supports the development of employment services and social safety nets in developing countries, and contributes to job creation and employment stability.
